At MonaVerde, our mission is to deliver the event of your dreams while promoting ecological sustainability. The event management industry can produce a lot of waste. Through the use of green products, organic foods and flowers, and environmentally friendly vendors, we will create your next event while maintaining your green image by reducing your carbon footprint. Life is about memories and relationships and that includes our relationship with our environment.

By promoting a greener image, companies and individuals can enjoy successful events along with the satisfaction of knowing they are working harmoniously with nature. 	We use green cleaning products: These products are non-toxic & biodegradable, use no chlorine or petroleum-based solvents, contain no strong acids, and are not tested on animals.
	We use recycled paper products: There are many paper products out there that have some percentage of recycled paper in them. However, MonaVerde is committed to using 100% recycled paper products and supplies.
	Biodegradable and Compostable products: For those events that are enjoyed outside and call for disposable dining supplies, we have an eco-friendly alternative to typical unsustainable dining ware. We use 100% biodegradable and compostable plates, cups, and utensils. These products biodegrade within 40 to 60 days and are used in our gardens after they biodegrade in our composting facility.
	We use organic and local caterers that promote local farms: Organic food tastes better, is healthier for you, and supports your local economy. We promise to find the caterer that best fits your needs and cuisine requests.
	Organic and Fair Trade Bars: We buy and use liquors that are distilled from organically grown grains and promote fair trade practices. North Carolina is also home to some fine vineyards, giving us a chance to enjoy locally produced wine and supporting our local economy.
	Local and Organic Flowers: We are committed to using organically grown flowers that are from a source that is nearby. By using flowers from local organic farms, we will eliminate the need to ship them from other countries and states. This will reduce our carbon footprint immensely. An added benefit is by using local flowers, we are supporting our local economy.
	Support Green Building: As another way to offset our carbon footprint, we can choose venues that are joining the movement toward more sustainable energy sources and alternative building choices. By choosing buildings that have worked with LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) standards, we can support environmental sustainability.
		ABOUT LEED: The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) helps with maximizing operational efficiency while minimizing environmental impacts for existing buildings. This program addresses cleaning and maintenance issues (including chemical use), recycling programs, exterior maintenance programs, and systems upgrades.
	Eco-Friendly Gift Ideas: We have elegant and creative gift ideas that include products from environmentally responsible companies as well as providing your guests with the finest products. Gift ideas include anything from candles, beauty products, essential oils, bath products, clothing, and even company promotional gear. Our staff is prepared to help you make your gift truly unique and something to feel good about.
